Amy Thomson is a Toronto-based emerging painter whose work bridges the emotional grandeur of Romanticism and Baroque with a distinctly millennial lens, lingering in the tension between an overwhelming urban future and the enduring force of nature. Fascinated by the vast, almost indifferent scale of city architecture and the loneliness that can exist inside its beautiful entropy, she paints worlds where skyscrapers, skies, and landscapes echo the chaos and power we carry within.
