We’re a Toronto-based art advisory working globally with collectors, interior designers, and small businesses.
At Curio Atelier, we champion emerging artists who are women, self-taught, and BIPOC, and we keep collecting affordable and livable by pairing original artworks with vintage pieces and design-forward objects. Our goal is simple: art-filled homes and spaces with personality, not perfection.
Who We Work With
-
For anyone who has ever said, “I don’t know where to start,” but knows they want real art on their walls—originals, not prints.
-
Trade partners who need a curator in their corner: someone who understands both art and space, and can source work that fits the design, budget, and timeline.
-
Cafés, boutiques, studios, creative offices, and hospitality spaces that want art that feels like part of the story, not generic décor.
How We Help
Start small or go all-in.
-
Starter Collecting Session
A focused 90-minute session (virtual or in-home in Toronto) where we map your taste, review your space and scale, set a realistic budget, and build an initial shortlist of original works (often paired with vintage pieces and objects). You leave with a clear plan instead of a blank wall.
-
Room Curation
Curating one key room or a gallery wall, including a mix of originals and vintage, framing suggestions, and a placement plan so everything lands in the right spot.
-
Whole-Home Layering
For new homes or big refreshes: a cohesive art and object plan across multiple rooms, with pacing, priorities, and sourcing mapped out over time so your collection can grow with you.
-
SMEs & Hospitality
Art plans and temporary displays for small businesses, studios, hospitality projects, and exhibitions—narrative-driven arrangements that feel warm, human, and memorable.
Our Process
1
Discovery
Start with a free 15-minute Discovery Call. We talk about your rooms, how you live or work in them, your taste (even if it’s “I don’t know yet”), timeline, and budget. If it’s a fit, we move into a 90-minute Starter Collecting Session.
2
Shortlist & Plan
After the session, we put together a tailored shortlist of original works (often paired with vintage and objects), plus framing, shipping, and install notes. For larger projects, we expand this into room-by-room or whole-home plans with clear priorities and next steps.
3
Install & live with it
We help you finalize selections, manage logistics, and get everything on the wall properly—so your art doesn’t end up living in a box in the hallway. You receive simple care notes and we stay available as your space and collection evolve.
What about pricing?
Every project is different - some people just need help with one stubborn wall, others are layering a whole home or business over time. Because of that, we quote each project individually.
Most projects start in the low hundreds for focused guidance and scale up with scope.
Share a little about your space, timeline, and comfort level and I’ll come back with a clear, no-pressure quote and a couple of ways we could work together.
