Riesbri

Riesbri is a Montreal-based artist and Concordia University sculpture major whose work moves between sculpture, painting, installation, and design. Originally from Paraguay and raised in Brazil, their mixed Indigenous background, experiences of migration, and relationship to the environment all shape how they see and make. Working with materials like wood, metal, clay, paint, and found objects, they create playful yet thoughtful pieces that sit between the organic and the industrial. Influenced by cartoon worlds like “Adventure Time” and ideas like the Kiki and Bouba effect, their colourful forms blend abstraction and character-like shapes, making big themes - identity, displacement, ecology, and care - feel personal, emotional, and accessible.
